The Philippine National Police’s Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) is set to file criminal charges against the man who allegedly leaked on social media the nude photos of former Ateneo basketball player Kiefer Ravena.

The ACG will accompany Ravena to file cases of robbery and extortion and violation of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 against Kristoffer Monico Ng, also an Ateneo alumnus, on Thursday, ACG spokesperson Supt. Jay Guillermo said.

Guillermo said Ng extorted P50,000 from Ravena after the suspect circulated the screenshot of his conversation on Viber, an online messaging application, with the basketball player and the latter’s lewd photos.

“Iisa lang ‘yan. Kung titingnan ang evidence, iisang tao lang gumagawa. Nagpapalit lang ng identity and gadget. Kapag lalaki ang victim, nagpapakilala na silang magandang babae para maengganyo ‘yung suspect,” Guillermo said.

Guillermo said Ravena will execute an affidavit before the ACG on Wednesday night.

Members of the PNP ACG arrested Ng in an entrapment operation past Wednesday noon at Eastwood Central Park in Libis, Quezon City.

Guillermo said the operating team launched an operation after Ravena paid Ng the first half of the extortion money a day before the arrest.
