Terrence Romeo joined the Gilas Pilipinas practice Monday for the first time since the weekly practices began, and he admitted that he’s far behind on the work.

“I have tons to work on, first of all, my conditioning. I have to catch up to them,” Romeo said at Meralco Gym.

“I really wanted to practice but there are times that you really get sick. I told coach Chot that I’m sorry and I’ll just do what he wants me to do here in practice,” he said.

Fortunately for Romeo, his previous stints with Gilas have already allowed him to get familiar with the dribble-drive schemes so he was able to follow the drills with ease.

“We did the drills and so far, it’s still ok and I’m still able to follow the instructions,” he said.

With the GlobalPort guard finally in full health, Romeo couldn’t contain his excitement with this new endeavor with the younger national team pool geared towards the 2017 Seaba Championship slated in May.

“I’m really excited. New teammates, new challenge, so I’m just excited on what will happen for us,” he said.
