Ronald Tubid has been suspended for two games and fined P30,000 for hitting Chris Newsome in the face in San Miguel’s 99-92 win over Meralco Sunday.

The PBA Commissioner’s Office doled out the punishments on Tuesday.

Tubid was assessed with a flagrant foul penalty 2 after hitting the sophomore Bolts forward with a closed fist to the head during a rebound play. He was ejected with still over nine minutes to play.

The veteran will miss the Beermen’s games against Phoenix on Friday and against Star on Easter Sunday.
