To say 2017 has not been kind to Carmelo Anthony is an understatement.
The 32-year-old forward’s status with the New York Knicks looks as bleak as it has ever been, after team executive Phil Jackson recently said Anthony was “better off playing elsewhere.”

Now, it seems that even his personal life has taken a hit as well.
According to TMZ, Melo and his wife of six years, TV personality La La Anthony, have separated and are now living apart in New York City.
“The current NBA season has been extremely stressful on the marriage for several months,” the news outlet described the situation, as relayed by a source close to the couple.
The Knicks (31-51) once again endured another disastrous losing season, with Anthony being in the center of trade talks most of the year.
But despite their supposed discord, the pair remain amicable toward each other, and were even spotted together to attend their 10-year-old son Kiyan’s basketball game over the weekend. The two got engaged in 2004 and tied the knot in July 2010.
As of this writing, both parties have yet to comment on the situation. Khristian Ibarrola /ra
