Desiree Cheng bagged the Finals MVP award after helping De La Salle retain the title following a pulsating five-set win over Ateneo in Game 2 of the UAAP Season 79 women’s volleyball Finals Saturday night.

Cheng, who sat out last season due to an ACL injury, fired 12 points in Game 2. Kim Kianna Dy, last year’s Finals MVP, led all scorers with 19.
