Desperate to make one last run to the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup playoffs, GlobalPort is bringing in 27-year-old big man Justin Harper for its final three games in the eliminations.

Coach Franz Pumaren bared the news as the Batang Pier will parade its third import this conference after Sean Williams and Malcolm White.

“We needed somebody that can give us additional scoring,” the mentor said.

The 6-foot-10 Harper is no stranger in international competition, playing previously in France, Israel, and Italy.

He recently suited up for the Los Angeles D-Fenders and even got signed to a 10-day contract by the Philadephia 76ers, where he averaged 4.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 10.0 minutes in the three games he played this past year.

GlobalPort is currently at ninth place with its 2-6 card, and is hoping to break out of its struggles when it plays Meralco on Friday.

Harper will make his debut together with new acquisitions Sean Anthony, Bradwyn Guinto, and rookie Jonathan Grey. IDL
