Seemingly shrugging off its early struggles this conference, Pocari Sweat claimed its second straight victory with a 25-19, 25-19, 25-19 win over Perlas in the 2017 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference women’s division Tuesday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Myla Pablo fired 11 of her 13 points from kills, while Jeanette Panaga added 12 markers to help the Lady Warriors even their standings at 2-2.

“I guess the team is now having a better flow. They are now adjusting to playing without our imports and we’re satisfied with how they are playing in our last three games,” said Pocari Sweat coach Rommel Abella.

The Lady Warriors were in full control for the majority of the match, but had to shake off the Perlas Spikers in the third set after they closed in, 18-17.

Panaga, though, came to the rescue as she scored two straight hits as Pocari capitalized on Perlas’ errors late to cruise to its second straight sweep.

Dzi Gervacio led Perlas (2-2) with eight points, while Amy Ahomiro got five in the defeat. /atm
