Tats: Don’t blame me on ITC delay

/ 12:01 AM May 16, 2017

Philippine Superliga president Ramon “Tats” Suzara on Monday broke his silence on the issue of International Transfer Certificates (ITCs) required by the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) for its imports.

Suzara, also chair of the Asian Volleyball Confederation, was accused of having a hand in the delay of the release of the ITCs, which an import needs to play in the PVL’s Reinforced Conference.

He said the tournament started on April 30 and fell outside the ITC release period based on a FIVB regulation. The rule says that the transfer of imports cannot be made within the period between Oct. 15, 2016 and May 15, which is considered as the “national team season.”
