JR Quiñahan is set to beef up the Philippine team in the upcoming 2017 Fiba 3×3 World Cup.

The NLEX big man will join the youthful core of Kobe Paras, Jeron Teng, and Kiefer Ravena in the half-court wars set from June 17 to 21 in Nantes, France.

The 33-year-old will provide the veteran presence for the hungry upstarts, as he will be tasked to hold the fort in the paint while also infusing the much-needed outside sniping.

Quiñahan got the clearance from NLEX on Tuesday, with the Road Warriors already eliminated from the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

The Philippines is placed in Group B, together with hosts France, Slovenia, Romania, and El Salvador in the 3×3 World Cup.
