Only 7 players show up at PH volleyball team training

Attendance was sparse at the Philippine national women’s volleyball team closed-door practice session Wednesday at Arellano School of Law.

The team, which is set to compete in the 2017 Malaysian Southeast Asian Games in August, is also preparing for a training camp in Japan.

A source said only seven of the 14 players listed, including reserve members, showed up to practice.

Skipper Mika Reyes, Alyssa Valdez, Genevieve Casugod, Ces Molina, Jovelyn Gonzaga, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, and Rhea Dimaculangan were present.

Last Monday, the training session was cancelled because of zero attendance.

The source added they are not allowed to give interviews to the media.
