Robert Bolick was forced to sit out most of the second half in San Beda’s opening game in the NCAA Season 93 men’s basketball tournament, but fortunately for him his teammates had his back.

The Red Lion’s combo guard was on the bench most of the third quarter and early into the fourth quarter after hitting four fouls, but bench guys like Clint Doliguez and JB Bahio were there to hold fort.

He added he can’t do anything to sway the referee’s decision, and he also gave credit to the Stags’ stingy defense for his shortcomings.

“Those were the referees’ calls, I can’t do anything about it, I think I’ll just have to adjust,” said Bolick who was scoreless in the third. “I think I’ve never experienced that kind of defense before and I should just calm myself next time around.”
