PVL: Bali Pure recovers with sweep of UP
BaliPure got back on track after shutting out University of the Philippines, 25-23, 25-21, 25-23, to rise to solo third place in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference Saturday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Grethcel Soltones fired 18 points, 16 coming off kills, while Risa Sato added 13 points, including the last Water Defenders’ last two points.

“They lacked aggressiveness. They have this tendency to play to the level of their opponents. But I believe they will settle down in time,” he said.
The Water Defenders, who improved to 2-1, hope to get a streak going against Air Force on July 16.
