It’s no secret that the Tour de France multiple-stage bicycle race takes a ridiculous physical toll on the body, particularly the legs.

Polish cyclist Pawel Poljanski recently showed the world how grueling it could be—by posting an image of his tired, vascular legs after taking part in 16 stages.

“After sixteen stages I think my legs look little tired,” Poljanski captioned his Instagram post, showing the bulging veins on his sunburnt legs.

The 104th edition of the Tour de France kicked off last July 1, which pits the best cyclists from around the world in a race that will cover a total of 3,450 kilometers.

According to the Business Insider, participants of the famed cycling event still have to endure 68 hours of pedaling before things wrap up in Paris on July 23.

Meanwhile, Poljanski, a member of German team Bora-Hansgrohe, is currently ranked 75th in the general classification after the 16th stage of the Tour.

Unfortunately for the 27-year-old cyclist, he still has a long way to go—five stages to be exact— before he can rest those aching legs.  Khristian Ibarrola /ra
