2 PH riders join London cycling fest
Two Filipino cyclists are taking part in Sunday’s Prudential RideLondon, a 193-kilometer international cycling festival in the United Kingdom that aims to raise funds for various charitable organizations.
Ismael Grospe, Jr., an 18-year-old from Nueva Ecija, and Ronnel Hualda, a seasoned pro, were sent off by British life insurer Pru Life UK and presented to the media at The Brewery At The Palace in Taguig on Wednesday.
Proceeds of the event, which lured about 25,000 riders, will be donated to Bloodwise, a blood cancer research charity in UK, and Save the Children.
Pru Life UK employees Franco Amian and Marvin Pacis complete the four-man delegation to the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100, which will take the route used during the London 2012 Olympic road races. —VANESSA B. HIDALGO
