Philippine SuperLiga president Tats Suzara and new Foton spiker Dzi Gervacio mended their differences on Friday ahead of the new Grand Prix conference.

Gervacio, with the help of Foton chairman Rommel Sytin, apologized to Suzara, who is also the director of the Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc., after she accused the PSL president of withholding the international transfer certificates of foreign players who will play in PSL’s rival Premier Volleyball League.

“It was unfortunate that rivalries sometimes take the best out of us all,” said Suzara. “But apologies, like this, are accepted and all of us should move one.”

Gervacio, who captained BanKo Perlas in PVL, took to Twitter to air her grievances toward Suzara back in May and even used the hashtag “#IbigayMoNaTatsSuzara.”

“You say you care for the sport but obviously you only care about yourself. I’m done being bullied. Bato bato sa langit,” Gervacio posted back in May 14. “And for somebody who’s ‘up there’ you’re supposed to help the sport grow. But instead you’re dragging down those who are not in your favor.”

Suzara, who is a member of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), denied allegations and  assisted in the processing of the ITCs.

Still, the official let bygones be bygones and assured that Gervacio will be treated with respect in the PSL.

“Ms. Gervacio would be assured that she will be treated as the other players,” said Suzara. “I hope she plays her best for Foton and become one of the reasons for the team’s continuing success in the SuperLiga.”
