Preysler played in Davao last year and struggled despite his sterling credentials as a standout in the senior amateur circuit in Spain.

The Sugar Barons have also called in Pem Rosal as reinforcement as they try to match the firepower packed by the Luisitans behind ex-pro Eddie Bagtas.

Rosal, a younger brother of old reliable Abe, will come in from the United States this Friday.

“Abe said his brother is better than him,” Viray said.

If true, the Barons may have found someone to fill the void created by the continued absence of Tommy Manotoc, who is also in the United States because of family commitments.
