Adamson coach Airess Padda is looking for something that would click with the Lady Falcons.
While it’s unlikely she’ll find it in today’s game against defending champion La Salle, the articulate American mentor said it won’t hurt to try.
“We still haven’t found something that is consistently working for our team yet,” said Padda after her wards absorbed their second straight defeat in the UAAP women’s volleyball competition.
“That’s very disappointing because it’s our fifth game already,” she added following that five-set defeat at the hands of Ateneo last Wednesday at Filoil Flying V Centre.
Now they will have to summon confidence and consistency against the Lady Spikers, who are looking for their fifth win.
La Salle’s main girl Kim Kianna Dy said they are also working on something which is an offshoot of their defeat at the hands of National University.
“Coach wanted us to be as tough during the match as we are during practice,” said Dy, who will be focal point for the Lady Spikers in the 4 p.m.
In the spotlight for Adamson is Eli Soyud, who will play against her former team. She scored 19 points against Ateneo to back up to Chiara Permentilla and Jem Galanza.
The Lady Spikers will be entering the match on the crest of their morale boosting win over the University of the East Lady Warriors Wednesday night.
University of the East guns for a first win against Far Eastern University at 2 p.m.
Men’s action starts at 8 a.m. with UE and FEU pitting against each other, and Ateneo and Adamson battling each other.
