Ancajas willing to fight Chocolatito if given a chance
Roman Gonzalez has been knocked off his post as the top super flyweight in the world, but that doesn’t stop reigning IBF champion from wanting to take a shot against Chocolatito.
Ancajas still holds the former no.1 pound-for-pound fighter in high regard in putting the 115-lb division into the consciousness of the boxing world.

“The 115-lb fighters have really put on great shows in the past years and the one who really carried the division was Chocolatito especially in his fights against [Carlos] Cuadras and [Srisaket] Sor Rungvisai,” said Ancajas in Filipino Tuesday in the PSA Awards Night at Manila Hotel.
Gonzalez has fallen off the ladder after he lost two straight against Sor Rungvisai that ended his 46-fight winning streak.
“If I’m given a chance, I’d like to fight Chocolatito, but as of now I’m focused on my title defense and the other champions.”
Ancajas (29-1-1) said he could fight as early as April and he would put his IBF strap on the line against fellow Filipino Jonas Sultan (14-3).
“There’s no final decision yet, but I’m expecting Sultan,” said Ancajas who was given one of the three Athlete of the Year awards.
