Rain or Shine continued its player movements as it sent Don Trollano TNT KaTropa in exchange for big man Norbert Torres.
The deal, approved on Monday by the Philippine Basketball Association, will reunite Trollano with Jericho Cruz, whom the Painters dealt to the KaTropa last month for rookie Sidney Onwubere, guard Kris Rosales, and a first-round draft pick.
The 26-year-old Trollano averaged 3.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 16 minutes in the ongoing Philippine Cup.
The former Adamson Falcon was drafted 15th overall by Rain or Shine in the 2015 Draft.
Trollano is expected to boost the KaTropa’s shallow wing rotation, where he will also join Roger Pogoy and Anthony Semerad in the shooting guard and small forward positions.
Meanwhile, Torres will bolster the Elasto Painters’ frontcourt bannered by Raymond Almazan, Beau Belga, Jewel Ponferrada, and Dexter Maiquez.
A former national team campaigner, the 28-year-old center netted 3.2 points, 3.0 rebounds in 11 minutes of play for TNT.
Torres will be playing for his fourth team since being drafted eighth overall in 2015 by Magnolia. He also played for Phoenix. —RANDOLPH B. LEONGSON, INQUIRER.NET
