Royal treatment for SEAG nations
The Philippines will roll out the red carpet for all participating countries in the Southeast Asian Games next year, and making them feel like royalty won’t stop there.
For starters, the Philippines will do away with the old practice of billeting officials of the 11 participating countries in posh hotels.
Instead, they will be assigned mansions that will also serve as their headquarters at Fontana Leisure Parks in Clark, Pampanga.
“This is the first time it will happen in the SEA Games,” said Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee’s Ramon “Tats” Suzara.
Countries with huge delegations for the Nov. 30 to Dec. 10 meet will occupy 17-room mansions while those with smaller contingents will stay in five-room mansions.
