Masters champ heads Riviera tilt

05:02 AM May 29, 2018

Less than a week removed from his breakthrough triumph, Jessie Balasabas banners the Riviera leg of the second Philippine Golf Tour teeing off Wednesday in Silang, Cavite.

The 36-year-old, who nipped Dutchman Guido Van Der Valk in sudden death on Saturday, didn’t have much time to celebrate his Philippine Masters win as he prepares to win back-to-back.

Clyde Mondilla is the defending champion here, and the long-hitter from Bukidnon hopes to put behind a dismal effort at Villamor last week where he finished 41st in his defense of the Masters.

Tony Lascuña will also be in the field of the $100,000-event.
