Del Rosario leads LPGT field

/ 04:59 AM June 13, 2018

LIPA City—Taking a break from her commitments overseas, Pauline del Rosario tees it up on Wednesday in the P1.5 million The Women’s Championship, automatically becoming the country’s brightest hope at Summit Golf Club.

Del Rosario and Cyna Rodriguez are the big local names in the field littered with Thailand aces, who ruled four of the first eight legs of this year’s Philippine Golf Tour.

Three of those four winners—Yupaporn Kawinpakorn, Supakchaya Pattaranakrueang and Onkanok Soisuwan—are in the 41-player field.

“It’s nice to be playing here again,” Del Rosario, who is campaigning in China and Taiwan, said. “Hopefully, I can get off to a good start.”
