Amid the differing opinion over the final lineup of the Philippine women’s national volleyball team, there was one central figure who asked for support.
Pocari Sweat’s Myla Pablo, who didn’t make it to 12-woman lineup that will travel to Indonesia for the 2018 Asian Games, simply asked for the people’s support for the national team.
“Guys, let’s just support whoever were the 14 that were chosen for the national team,” tweeted Pablo in Filipino. “Let’s stop the bashing. They were deserved to be chosen. Let’s just be happy for them or give them our support.”

Some fans on social media are arguing that Pablo deserves a spot in the final roster.
Pablo, though, is still part of the national pool and can still have a chance to represent the Philippines in the future tournaments.
Mary Joy Baron, who made the final cut, took a different approach in addressing those who spewed negativity towards the lineup.

Baron posted an Instagram story telling people to stop bashing the national team.
“Some people are only good at bashing,” posted Baron. “Hey, we don’ know the sacrifices they have to put to get there. It takes a lot of time and effort to be good at something. If you’re not supporting just don’t talk too much like you know everything.”
