MACAU—Allein Maliksi stayed mum as he dodged suspension from Fiba for the brawl between Gilas Pilipinas and Australia last July 2.
Maliksi’s name was not mentioned in Fiba’s decision that came out Thursday which handed out bans to 10 players and two coaches from the PH’s side and three players from Australia.

“I can’t comment about that issue anymore because we were already reminded that if there are any more questions and interviews about that, we’ll just let the issue go,” said Maliksi, who’s playing in the Asia League Super 8 with club team Blackwater here.
Calvin Abueva was the hardest hit by the sanctions, receiving a six-game ban. Among the coaches, Jong Uichico got a three-game suspension while head coach Chot Reyes got one.
“We’re trying to move on, all the players and the coaching staff regret that it happened,” said Maliksi.
