NCAA: Lyceum demolishes winless JRU

Lyceum continued its hot start and pulverized Jose Rizal University, 88-56, in the NCAA Season 94 men’s basketball tournament on Friday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Pirates used a huge 24-7 second frame to break away from the Heavy Bombers at halftime, 45-23, en route to their third straight win.

“I told the team that we should not fall into the trap that we are a good offensive team and not repeat the things that we did last game,” Pirates head coach Topex Robinson said.

Lyceum, the last year’s finalist, made 30 points off the Heavy Bombers’ 34 errors.

Mike Nzeusseu displayed his three-point shooting prowess with three conversions and finished with 21 points, 10 boards, and two blocks.

Cj Perez added 12 markers and five assists while Kim Cinco poured in 11 points all in the third frame.
