Poomsae teams win PH’s first two medals in 2018 Asian Games

The Philippines poomsae teams on Sunday delivered the country’s first two medals in the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games in Indonesia.

The men’s and women’s poomsae squads put up valiant efforts before settling for the bronze medals after losing to separate foes in the semifinals of the taekwondo team poomsae event.

Rodolfo Reyes Jr., Dustin Jacob Mella and Jeordan Dominguez bowed to China’s Yuxiang Zhu, Mingda Hu and Tingfeng Deng in the semis.

Janna Dominique Oliva, Juvenile Faye Crisostomo and Rinna Babanto, meanwhile, fell to Korea’s Yeowon Gwak, Dongah Choi, and Jaeeun Park.
