Coach says La Salle’s inexperience showed in loss to FEU
La Salle head coach Louie Gonzalez said the Green Archers’ opening game loss in the UAAP Season 81 men’s basketball tournament exposed his team’s immaturity.
“It’s very evident in this game how young we are as team competing against a seasoned team,” Gonzalez said, admitting the Green Archers still lack the ability to close out games.

But while he rues his team’s failure to close out games, Gonzalez, who appeared in his first UAAP game as head coach, still saw some positives from his players.
Article continues after this advertisement“Too bad we lost, but like I said, I’m optimistic with my team. I’m sure we’re gonna get better,” he said.
“But to do that, the team has to figure out who to give the ball to, how to start attacking, and make adjustments, most especially during crunch time.”
