LPGT, Taiwan lpga organize ladies Open

The Ladies Philippine Golf Tour will co-stage a Taiwan LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) event next month in Taiwan, marking the first time that the local circuit will be holding a tournament abroad through the Party Golfer Ladies Open on Oct. 3 to 5 at National Golf Country Club in Miaoli County.

The LPGT, through ICTSI, and its TLPGA counterpart Party Golfer will be splitting the $100,000 money purse for the 54-hole tournament that will also give female Filipino pros the chance to compete against the best in the region.

JGFP interschool tourney under way

Forty two teams represented by 172 players are competing in the 2018 Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines Interschool Golf Championship which got going over the weekend at Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in Cavite. To be disputed are Lower School for Grades 1-3, Middle school for Grades 4-6, Junior High for Grades 7-9 and Senior High for Grades 10-12. The teams will play six rounds over seven weeks with the best four counting for the overall team score. Among the participating schools: Acacia Waldorf, Ateneo, Beacon International School, Benedictine IS, Brent Calamba, British School Manila, Caloocan Science High School, Calvert Homeschool, Christian Academy of Manila, Colegio San Agustin Biñan and Makati, La Salle Zobel, Dominican Manila, Elizabeth Seton, Everest Academy
