SBP attends Fiba World Basketball Summit

Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas president Al Panlilio, executive director Sonny Barrios and Special Assistant to the President Ryan Gregorio are in Xi’an, China for the inaugural Fiba World Basketball Summit.

Panlilio has also been invited to be among the speakers during the event and will be on stage along with former NBA All-Star and president of Russian Federation of Basketball Andrei Kirilenko and president of Finnish Basketball Federation Antti Zitting

“Our very own, SBP President Al Panlilio is invited as one of the panel speakers and will discuss effective basketball development strategies covering the role of National Federations, schools and colleges, expectations on government, achieving the best ROI and the development of young pro players,” the press release said.

The FIBA World Basketball Summit, which runs from October 3 to 4, gathers high-ranking basketball personalities from different federations all over the world.

Apart from the basketball summit, Xi’an, China is also where the Fiba 3×3 U23 World Cup is being held.

The event features 40 countries, including the Philippines. Representing PH are Ricci Rivero, Rhayyan Amsali, Jeepy Faundo and RJ Abarrientos.
