Sor Rungvisai thrills home crowd, keeps WBC super fly belt in ONE main event
Thai champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai dominated Mexican challenger Iran Diaz to retain his WBC super flyweight title in the main event of ONE: Kingdom of Heroes early Sunday morning at Impact Arena in Thailand.
Sor Rungvisai thrilled the hometown crowd and earned a unanimous decision victory after the three judges gave him, 119-109 twice and 120-108.

The 31-year-old Sor Rungvisai went to the body from the opening bell and it took its toll on Diaz in the latter stages of the bout.
But the unheralded Diaz was game and unafraid of the heavy handed Sor Rungvisai and somehow managed to last the distance.

Thailand’s Stamp Fairtex claimed the ONE kickboxing atomweight crown after dethroning Kai Ting Chuang via unanimous decision while Muay Thai legend Nong-O Gaiyanghadao also won on points at the expense of ISKA and WBC champion Mehdi Zatout of France in the ONE super Series Muay Thai showdown.
Meanwhile, Japanese legend Shinya Aoki made quick work of Ev Ting in a title eliminator for the lightweight crown.
Aoki submitted Ting with an arm triangle choke just 57 seconds into their fight.
Filipinos settled for a split after flyweight Ramon Gonzales won and Robin Catalan lost in separate fights.
Gonzales beat Dodi Mardian by submission in the first round while Catalan couldn’t escape the rear-naked choke applied by Hayato Suzuki in the second round.
