Adamson teams in the running
Adamson University’s men’s basketball team has already clinched a twice-to-beat incentive while its women’s squad is still in contention for a Final Four slot in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 81.
Since taking over the program in 2016, coach Franz Pumaren has steered the Falcons to two consecutive Final Four appearances.
The women’s volleyball team, meanwhile, with third-year American mentor Airess Padda at the helm, is joining several leagues, including the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), ahead of the tournament opening in February next year.

According to Akari chief executive officer Christopher Tiu, included in their programs are the high school girls’ volleyball team and the Pep Squad, which delivered the school’s first UAAP Cheer Dance Competition title last season under coach Jam Lorenzo.
