Joshua Pacio to defend ONE strawweight belt in rematch vs Suzuki

Filipino Joshua Pacio is set to defend his ONE strawweight title for the first time in a rematch against Hayato Suzuki of Japan in the main event of ONE: Eternal Glory next month at Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Pacio (13-2)  hopes to get back at Suzuki (20-1-2), who submitted the Team Lakay ace in the opening round of their first encounter back in August of last year.

The Jakarta card scheduled on January 19 will mark the first event of ONE Championship in 2019 and both fighters are expected to open the new year with a bang.

The 22-year-old Pacio has been better than ever since his loss to Suzuki, having won his last four fights.

Suzuki, 32, has been on a resurgence as well after absorbing his first defeat at the hands of Alex Silva.
