La Salle-Dasma avoids winless PSL Collegiate Grand Slam campaign
De La Salle University-Dasmariñas avoided a winless campaign after beating Colegio San Agustin-Biñan, 25-23, 25-18, 21-25, 25-16, in the inaugural Philippine Superliga Collegiate Grand Slam Tuesday at Mall of Asia Arena.
The Lady Patriots had three players in double figures led by Eunice Castillo, who scored a game-high 16 points.
Rain Ramos and Basilyn Delfin added 14 points each for La Salle-Dasma, which ended its stint with a 1-4 record.
It was an all-around effort by Castillo, who had three blocks and six service aces.
After an error-prone third set, the Lady Patriots regrouped and went back to their strengths.
Aliah Marce and Lency Duarte paced the Eagles with 14 and 13 points, respectively. CSA also wrapped up the tournament with a 1-4 slate.
