Lakers legend Michael Cooper drops by Manny Pacquiao’s home

Another sporting legend paid Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao a visit in his Los Angeles home.

Just days after welcoming decorated MMA star Cris Cyborg, Pacquiao rubbed elbows with basketball legend Michael Cooper.

“Enjoying a great meal with a great boxer and friend! Looking forward to a great partnership and bringing basketball to the Philippine community! Go @MannyPacquiao,” he said in a tweet.

Cooper won five NBA championships as a vital member of the Los Angeles Lakers in the 80s.

Pacquiao is preparing for his welterweight title defense against American Adrien Broner on January 19 in Las Vegas, which is his first fight in the US since 2016.

The 40-year-old Pacquiao is coming off a seventh-round stoppage of Lucas Matthysse to win the WBA (regular) belt last July in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
