Collegiate stars, former pros suit up in Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3
MANILA, Philippines—Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 President’s Cup is well on its way after all 12 teams revealed their initial list of players.
Bataan Risers pulled out all the stops when it signed collegiate sensation Alvin Pasaol of University of the East to team up with the graduating Anton Asistio out of Ateneo.
Article continues after this advertisementThe Risers also tapped Adamson University’s Sean Manganti and De La Salle’s Santi Santillan to team up with the two.
If Bataan went the collegiate way, Manila went with the professionals.
Stars owner Ramon Ang said that all six of his players will come from the pros with PBA journeyman Ronjay Buenafe the first to don the jersey.

Kib Montalbo joined Quezon City-Zark’s Jawbreakers, which the former Green Archer will also captain.
Filipino-American players Joshua Munzon and Taylor Statham will banner the Pasig-Grindhouse Kings.
Chooks-to-Go president Ronald Mascariñas was ecstatic with the quality of players that signed up for his tournament and that he expects competitive games from every team.
“Definitely I was surprised with the quality of players we have attracted,” said Mascariñas. “With this, we are expecting very close games in every leg of the President’s Cup.”
The teams from Cebu, Zamboanga, and Davao Occidental have yet to finalize their rosters but the other teams announced at least one player as their representative.
Valenzuela Classic signed Paolo Hubalde, Go for Gold-San Juan Knights tapped Mike Ayonayon and Larry Muyang, Bacoor Strikers had Gab Banal and Matthew Aquino, Marikina Shoemasters got Jondan Salvador while the Bulacan Kuyas took Jay-R Taganas.
