It has always been Aaron Black’s dream to play for the Ateneo Blue Eagles.

That dream came to fruition in 2015 and four years later, he couldn’t ask for more as he bids Ateneo farewell.

“Growing up watching the Blue Eagles and their five-peat reign. I had always dreamed of dawning the blue and white in the UAAP,” Black recalled in a post on his Twitter account.

“I would stand in our driveway imagining myself hitting the last second against DLSU shot to win the game or even try to copy Ryan Buenafe’s cold blooded 3 in the finals to seal the 3-peat championship.”

“Fast forward to today, I leave the school where I grew up from a boy to a man with 2 rings and a whole lot of lessons to bring with me as I go down the hill and embark on a new journey of which I am excited to take on,” he wrote.

The second-generation player, whose father and Philippine basketball legend Norman steered Ateneo to a rare ‘five-peat,’ expressed his gratitude to the people who helped him every step of the way.
