Loreno makes his mark with 7 gold medals
John Carlo Loreno, 15, closed out the outstanding campaign of Koronadal City with a seventh gold medal across his name after winning the boys’ 13 to 15 Olympic round of archery on a windy Friday in the 2019 Batang Pinoy Mindanao leg at Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex in Tagum City.
“I made a minor adjustment with the way I release my arrows and drop my bow,” said Loreno, who settled for two silver medals in last year’s national finals in Baguio City, pinning the blame on his cold shooting and the chilly weather.
“This time, I’m ready,” added Loreno. “I will prepare hard for the national finals.”
