Carl Jammes Martin hasn’t fought outside his hometown of Ifugao Province until Saturday night.
Martin, an up-and-comer in the bantamweight division, should get used to the national spotlight after putting on a masterclass in a three-round demolition of Thailand’s Petchchorhae Kokietgym.
The 19-year-old Martin, who showed little respect for Kokietgym, earned a TKO win after the bout was stopped at the end of the third round.
Martin scored two knockdowns, first in the opening round while the other in the third after Kokietgym got caught with a short left in front of his corner.
Martin, a native of Lagawe, Ifugao, extended his undefeated start to 12-0 with 11 knockouts.
Kokietgym, who seemed afraid to let his hands go, dropped to 17-3, 8 knockouts.
