PBA D-League: St. Clare-Virtuality dominates Go for Gold-CSB

MANILA, Philippines—St. Clare-Virtuality took the lustre out of Go for Gold-College of St. Benilde, 92-78, in the PBA D-League Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena.

Joshua Fontanilla took charge for the Saints in the fourth quarter scoring 15 of his total 27 points in the period spearheading their 18-5 run to take an 88-74 lead with a couple of minutes remaining.

St. Clare head coach Jinno Manansala admired Fontanilla’s attitude in showing utmost positivity despite being the target of his scolding.

“He has a strong heart and that even though I’m hard on him he’ll still lead the team no matter what,” said Manansala in Filipino.

Junjie Hallare pitched in 13 points, six rebounds, and three steals for St. Clare while Ray Rubio added 11 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.

Justin Gutang led the Scratchers with 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals, while shooting at a 5-of-13 clip.
