UAAP volleyball: Lady Eagles swoop in on Lady Maroons for 8th straight win
MANILA, Philippines—Ateneo came all out against an injury-stricken University of the Philippines to take its eighth straight win, 25-23, 25-16, 25-23, Saturday night in the UAAP women’s volleyball at SM Mall of Asia Arena.
The Lady Eagles were ahead one set to none and, 4-0 in the second when top Lady Maroon Isa Molde landed onto her teammate Mirgie Bautista while attempting a spike.

The Lady Maroons tried to put up a fight, taking a 20-18 lead in the third as UP coach Godfrey Okumu decided to experiment with his second unit in trying to perk things up.
But the Lady Eagles woke up just in time and inflicted the Lady Maroons fourth loss in nine outings. The Lady Eagles soared to 8-1.
