PBA D-League: Valencia City-San Sebastian blasts Wangs
MANILA, Philippines–Valencia City Bukidnon-San Sebastian demolished Wangs Basketball, 96-64, in the 2019 PBA D-League Tuesday at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.
The Couriers didn’t stand a chance after the Golden Harvest opened with a blistering 18-0 run then pushed the lead to as much as 33, 60-27, at the half and never looked back.
Allyn Bulanadi led Valencia City-San Sebastian 28 points, seven rebounds, and two steals while RJ Ilagan scored nine of his 13 points in the first half onslaught.
Ken Villapando added his 15 points and five rebounds, while JM Calma nabbed a double-double of 10 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks.
“What’s important is our boys executed our game plan and we had good defense today, said coach Egay Macaraya.
The Golden Harvest limited the Couriers to 35% field goal shooting, helping them bounce back from a 71-65 loss to CEU last March 19.
Valencia-SSCR tied Metropac-San Beda in the Foundation Group at second place with 4-1 records.
The Couriers, meanwhile, dropped to 3-2, after getting their two-game winning streak snapped. Roland Santos scored 15 points in the losing effort while Arvin Tolentino was held to just two points that went with 12 boards.
