F2 Logistics turns back Foton, bags PSL Grand Prix semis berth

F2 Logistics survived a tough stand put up by Foton to prevail, 25-22, 25-27, 25-21, 25-19, Thursday night and formally clinch semifinal spot in the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix at FilOil Flying V Center.

Forced to a rubber-match by the resurgent Tornadoes, the Cargo Movers this time didn’t take chances and took full advantage of the absence of Foton import Milagros Collar who injured her right thigh.

The Cargo Movers will face in the best-of-three semis the winner between the PLDT Power Hitters and the Generika-Ayala Lifesavers whose series also went the distance.

It was a sorry loss for Foton which strung up three successive wins to erase F2 Logistics’s twice-to-beat advantage.
