MANILA, Philippines—NLEX on Tuesday announced highly-athletic forward Tony Mitchell will be its reinforcement for the Commissioner’s Cup next month.
Mitchell had seen action in the PBA before with Purefoods in the 2017 Commissioner’s Cup.
The 6-foot-8 Mitchell, who played 21 games for the Detroit Pistons during the 2013-14 NBA Season, led the Hotshots to a 6-2 record before being replaced by Ricardo Ratliffe.
See you soon, Tony.

The Road Warriors hope the 27-year-old Mitchell will be able to turn their fortunes around after they wound up with the second-worst record in the Commissioner’s Cup last season.
NLEX is also coming off a ninth-place finish in the 2019 Philippine Cup after losing to Alaska in a playoff for the last quarterfinals slot.
The Road Warriors said Mitchell is currently playing in the Taiwan Super Basketball League and will be in the Philippines soon once his campaign ends.
