MANILA, Philippines—Che’Lu Bar and Grill stayed in the hunt for a playoff spot after topping University of Santo Tomas, 92-80, in the 2019 PBA D-League Monday at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

The Revellers went on a 19-0 run in the fourth quarter to pull away from a tight game behind Rey Suerte and Alfred Batino.

“This is a must win. I told my players if we lose today, our last two games will just be scrimmages,” said Che’Lu head coach Stevenson Tiu. “If you still want to play in the playoffs, you have to play hard today.”

Suerte sizzled with 27 points while Batino had 14 points and six rebounds.

Gab Dagangon also shone with 17 points in his debut for Che’Lu, which improved to 4-3.

Sherwin Concepcion had 24 points on a 4-of-8 shooting from long distance to lead the Growling Tigers (5-2), who blew a chance to secure a playoff slot and instead suffered their second setback in three games.
