MANILA, Philippines—Thirdy Ravena and Bea De Leon’s closeness may have stemmed from something on the romantic side.

During De Leon’s guesting in Tonight With Boy Abunda, the Ateneo Lady Eagles’ skipper said Ravena tried his luck on her when both were still in high school but a romantic relationship never blossomed between the two.

Ravena, the star of the Blue Eagles, seemed to nod his agreement to De Leon’s statements when he posted his Instagram stories during the show.

De Leon and Ravena have been public in their friendship showing support to each other during games and hanging out whenever they can.

Both are also successful collegiate stars with Ravena being a two-time champion and two-time Finals MVP in the UAAP while De Leon has the same number of championships with one Finals MVP to her name.

De Leon added that even though Ravena failed in her romantic bid during their high school days, the Blue Eagle once again tried his chance during their freshmen year of college.

“You’ll have to confirm with him, I don’t want to be assuming but from my perspective, I think he tried again like first year,” said De Leon. “I don’t remember, that’s been so long.”

Still, De Leon said that she and Ravena are “very, very good friends.”
