PetroGazz zoomed to solo top spot after winning its third straight game, this time besting underpowered Motolite, 25-22, 25-18, 25-19, Sunday in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at Filoil Flying V Centre.
Later, defending champion Creamline escaped with a 23-25, 25-12, 25-17, 25-23 win over BanKo Perlas for its second consecutive triumph.

Djanel Cheng displayed smarts and guts in opening up scoring alleys for imports Wilma Salas and Janisa Johnson as the Angels handed the Motolite Spikers’ a second successive defeat.
