Chan takes sole command with a 68

Aidric Chan banked on a solid front nine charge on the way to a four-under-par 68 and a three-stroke lead over erstwhile front-runner Sean Ramos after 54 holes of Stage 1 of the SEA Games men’s team qualifier at Luisita Golf and Country Club in Tarlac on Thursday.

The reigning national junior champion hit three birdies in his first nine holes and now has a 214 tally and some cushion heading to the final 18 holes.


Ramos saved a 71 for a 217 while first round coleader Luis Castro also shot a 71.
