Tan said the only one to blame for the loss was he himself after he changed his conditioning program two weeks before the fight.

“The game was perfect for me in the opening minutes but after scrambling to the ground I felt really tired,” said Tan. “I think there was something wrong with my fitness conditioning because two weeks ago I changed my program.”

Tan had a good start in the match but slowly faded away when Yoon got the takedown.

“The game plan was on point. The thing is, I was really confident in my boxing and ground game, but I feel gassed out after 3-4 minutes of hard battle,” said Tan. “The loss might be a bitter pill for me to take, but I am sure that I will learn many things from it.”

Still, Tan is adamant to break the slump and that he’ll return to his future ONE fights better than ever.

“I will never give up no matter what. I just need to adjust my fitness conditioning and keep training hard. I will keep doing BJJ competition after I recover,” said Tan. “I will train almost every day to improve. I’ll take this loss as a big lesson. I’m confident that I’ll come back stronger after this.”
