PVL: PacificTown-Army bags semis ticket after sweep of BanKo
MANILA, Philippines–PacificTown-Army launched a daring assault against BanKo Perlas, 25-18, 25-14, 25-20, Saturday and got away with an outright semifinals berth in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at FilOil Flying V Center.
The Lady Troopers didn’t take chances breaking away from the Perlas Spikers brandishing their big guns led by Lena Lymareva-Flink and Jenelle Jordan.
PacificTown outscored the opposition, 12-7, in attacks in the third set alone, and scored 10 aces in total against four by BanKo Perlas.
With a 5-5 record, the Lady Troopers are assured of the No. 3 spot in the Final Four.
The Perlas Spikers fell to 4-6 but could still make it if the Motolite Power Spikers win over the PetroGazz Angels late Saturday.
