Alnakran Abdilla and Kim Malabunga also finished in double-digits with 19 and 12 points, respectively, for the Philippine side.

The Filipinos were never discouraged despite dropping the second set in heartbreaking fashion where they clawed their way back from a five-point hole but only to fall short, 27-29.

Espejo was an unstoppable force in the last three sets, making his presence felt even on the defensive end with five blocks.
